iTIC, led by Dr. Passakon Prathombutr (Vice Chairman), Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sorawit Narupiti (Secretary), Mr. Chadil Toojinda (Manager), and their team, met with Mr. Poramet Ngampichet, Mayor of Pattaya City, and his staff to further the collaboration under the existing Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
The key discussion points regarding the collaboration are as follows:
Accident Prevention and Reduction: iTIC and Pattaya City will expand their cooperation in safety initiatives. This includes analyzing iTIC’s historical accident database to improve the physical conditions of high-risk spots, while ensuring full compliance with Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA) regulations.
Traffic Simulation (SUMO Workshop): iTIC proposed providing a SUMO Workshop training program to develop traffic models for Pattaya. The city intends to utilize this expertise in its upcoming Traffic Data Center.
Data Integration: Pattaya City recommended sourcing additional accident data from the Sawang Boriboon Thammasathan Foundation. iTIC will act as the coordinator to integrate this data into the iTIC database.
