On 8 September 2026, the Intelligent Traffic Information Center Foundation (iTIC), led by Mr. Ninnart Chaithirapinyo, President of the Foundation, Dr. Phaskorn Prathombutr, Vice President of the Foundation, and the iTIC team, met with Ms. Onfah Wechachiva, Secretary-General of the Office of the Public Sector Development Commission (OPDC), and her team to discuss potential areas of collaboration in leveraging data and technology to support traffic management and urban development. iTIC also invited OPDC to attend iTIC FORUM 2026, scheduled for 1 December 2026.

The discussion focused on identifying key traffic data required from government agencies, as well as reviewing data already available through government Open Data platforms, with the aim of promoting systematic data sharing and maximizing the value of public-sector data for urban management.

The meeting also explored the development of Pilot Cities to promote measurable and data-driven urban management. Key areas of focus include Traffic Congestion, Road Safety, and Carbon Emissions, together with the development of appropriate solutions for each city and potential approaches to recognize and incentivize cities with outstanding performance.

Another key topic was the development of a data framework to identify the agencies responsible for specific road networks and areas, helping ensure that issues can be directed to the appropriate responsible agencies and enabling more efficient coordination and problem-solving.

The discussion also included the concept of a centralized Dashboard for cities, which could be shared and adopted by local authorities to reduce duplicated investment and system development, while supporting more systematic, data-driven urban management.

The meeting provided an important opportunity for iTIC and OPDC to exchange ideas and explore potential areas of collaboration, with the shared goal of advancing data-driven urban management and supporting the development of more efficient, safe, and sustainable cities.
