The Intelligent Traffic Information Center Foundation or iTIC was officially approved the registration by Ministry of Interior as a non-profit organization on June 14, 2010 with a registered capital of 500,000 Baht supported by Thai ITS Association.
The iTIC’s process begins with collecting public traffic data from CCTV cameras provided by the Thai Traffic Police, Expressway Authority of Thailand (EXAT), and Bangkok Metropolitan Administration (BMA).
Traffic information from probe data has the following benefits compared to the conventional information from fixed sensors
You can receive traffic information via the product manufacturers (e.g., GPS Navigator device manufacturers)
The foundation uses the Location Table as a reference source for exporting traffic condition data. The Location Table serves as a common language to refer to positions at intersections and roads throughout Thailand. Those who wish to receive data from the foundation
